The podcast world is exploding and there are loads of new podcasts that are uploaded on Mixcloud every day. Our staff has put together a list of ten of our favorite podcasts you need to tune in to now!
1. The Joe Rogan Experience
The Joe Rogan Experience podcast is a long form conversation hosted by comedian, UFC color commentator, and actor Joe Rogan with friends and guests that have included comedians, actors, musicians, MMA instructors and commentators, authors, artists, and porn stars. The Joe Rogan Experience was voted the Best Comedy Podcast of 2012 on iTunes.
2. WTF with Marc Maron
For over twenty years, Marc Maron has been writing and performing raw, honest and thought-provoking comedy. In September 2009, Marc changed the podcast landscape when he started WTF with Marc Maron, featuring Marc’s revelatory conversations with iconic personalities such as Conan O’Brien, Terry Gross, Robin Williams, Keith Richards, Ben Stiller, Lorne Michaels and President Barack Obama. It became a worldwide phenomenon, with more than six-million downloads each month and 250 million lifetime downloads within its first 6 years.
3. This American Life
This American Life is a weekly public radio show broadcast on more than 500 stations to about 2.2 million listeners. It is produced in collaboration with Chicago Public Media, delivered to stations by PRX The Public Radio Exchange, and has won all of the major broadcasting awards. It is also often the most popular podcast in the country, with another 2.4 million people downloading each episode.

5. Ari Shaffir’s Skeptic Tank
Ari was a featured standup on the HBO comedy series Down and Dirty with Jim Norton and performed at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and Toronto, the San Francisco SketchFest, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland. Shaffir’s satirical shorts “The Amazing Racist” for National Lampoon went viral on the Internet with millions of views. Additionally, he has appeared on TBS’s Conan, Comedy Central’s Jon Benjamin Has A Van, ESPN Classic’s Cheap Seats, and dozens of national commercials. Ari’s podcast is called The Skeptic Tank and he is a regular guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Shaffir resides in Los Angeles where he is a regular at The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory. He also headlines around the country and frequently tours with Joe Rogan.
6. Hello from the Magic Tavern
Hello from the Magic Tavern is an improvised comedy podcast hosted and produced by Arnie Niekamp. The podcast is set in the fictional world of Foon, a magical realm where a fictionalized version of Niekamp is trapped after falling through a dimensional rift in Chicago. Niekamp and his co-hosts—a wizard named Usidore the Blue (Matt Young), and a shapeshifter, Chunt (Adal Rifai)—interview various magical creatures at the epononymous tavern. The first episode was released in March 2015. New episodes are released every Monday.
7. The Black Tapes
The Black Tapes is a weekly podcast from the creators of Pacific Northwest Stories, and is hosted by Alex Reagan. The Black Tapes Podcast is a serialized docudrama about one journalist’s search for truth, her subject’s mysterious past, and the literal and figurative ghosts that haunt them both. Do you believe?
