We at Mixcloud are big fans of TED – a nonprofit devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading” in the fields of Technology, Entertainment, Design. If you’ve not already, we thoroughly recommend checking them out for some inspiring talks and videos.

One of the TED talks that stands out in my mind is a story and rap from Emmanuel Jal, posted back in August 2009. Emmanuel is a Sudanese war child turned hip-hop star and activist. In the video he talks about his story as a child – the harrowing memories that no kid should have to experience – and how he managed to turn his hatred into a force for good. Thought provoking. Inspiring.

So you can imagine my excitement when I fired up my Mixcloud today to find an exclusive “All Abroad” radio interview between BBC Radio 1’s Ras Kwame and Emmanuel Jal himself.

A powerful 1 hour show with in-depth conversation and music from Emmanuel, including exclusive content from his new album “See Me Mama”.
