Young Joker hasn’t wasted any time pioneering dubstep sounds from the urban streets of Bristol. Digidesign found its way on to Hyperdub’s Five Year compilation and he’s just released the crushing Tron on his own label Kapsize. Seiji had a more humble background as a cellist before discovering drum & bass and forming collective Bugz in West London. A top producer who’s applied his unique stylings to banging 4Hero & Amy Winehouse remixes.

Modeselektor and Apparat among other things amalgamated their name to Moderat circa 2002 and have since delved into the dark world of Berlin’s techno scene. They soon hooked up with techno label BPitch Control to set the precedent for Deutsch techno in the form of their album Happy Birthday. They also head up Thursday’s edition of Clash’s versatile mix series.

Kate Wax is the alter ego of Aisha Devi Enz, the Swiss-born, half-Tibetan, totally-driven, self-producing avant-garde singer-songwriter that gifted the world with her ‘Reflections of the Dark Heat’ debut album courtesy of Mental Groove back in 2006. After a baby-making break Kate is back, and joins the family here at Border Community as she puts the finishing touches to her vocally-exhilarating second album ‘Dust Collision’ (set for release in late 2010).
