Welcome to March on Mixcloud!
We’re excited to be venturing out into the real world for the spring leg of our “World Tour”.
Over the coming months Mixcloud will be making an appearance at a whole host of festivals, events and clubnights.
And as usual we have our monthly installment of new, exclusive and recommended Cloudcasts for your listening pleasure.
1. Spring Events – Miami WMC, Bloc Weekend, Snowbombing Festival
It’s March, it’s Spring Break, and that can only mean 1 thing. One of the greatest dance music gatherings in the world kicks off later this month – the Miami Winter Music Conference.
Mixcloud are excited to be involved with 2 fantastic events in Miami this year:
Mixcloud & 101 Apparel present… Lotus Miami WMC 2011 Showcase, 9th March
 
Mixcloud are proud to be partnering with 101 Apparel and the awesome Lotus Agency to present the first ever Lotus WMC 2011 Showcase on March 9, 2011.
This daytime event will showcase the musical talents of the many great artists on the Lotus roster – many of whom you can find on the Lotus Mixcloud profile here.
Highlights from the Mixcloud community include our man DJ Lefto, Kon & Amir, Dj Smash, Vikter Duplaix and DJ Simbad

Beatport Beach Party @ Miami WMC (Beatport/Mixcloud DJ Competition), 24-27th March
We’re excited to be partnering with the mighty Beatport for our biggest DJ competition yet on Mixcloud!
Together with Beatport, we’re offering 1 lucky DJ the prize of a lifetime – an all expenses paid trip to Miami to open for the likes of Steve Angello, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire and many more.

Bleep DJ Competition @ Bloc Weekend, UK, 11-13th March
Bleep have announced the winner of their “Top Tracks of 2010” DJ mix competition here.
Congratulations to our winner Leighton who’ll now be representing Mixcloud on the Bleep stage at the Bloc Weekender next week, alongside the formidable Lone, Boxcutter, Kyle Hall, Luke Abbott and Jacques Greene.

Data Transmission DJ Competition @ Volvo Snowbombing 2011, 4-9th April
Data Transmission have teamed up with Mixcloud and the guys from Volvo Snowbombing to host a special party at their Arctic Disco on Tuesday 5th April in the afternoon sunshine, with a soon to be announced killer line up.

2. New DJ Mix Competition – Stop Making Sense Festival and Chris Coco – on a boat!
Mixcloud are delighted to be partnering with Chris Coco to bring you the Melodica & Mixcloud Boat Party at Stop Making Sense Festival this summer – 12-14th August in Croatia.
As part of the Melodica & Mixcloud Boat Party, we’re running an amazing DJ competition to win the opportunity to be flown out to Croatia, to play a set on the boat!
As our newest Electronica Ambassador, Chris is well placed to judge this competition.

3. Mixcloud Monthly Meetup – Space Invader Radio @ the Big Chill House, London
Following on from the hugely successful History of Hip-Hop party in London last weekend, we can’t wait for our next monthly event at the Big Chill House. We’ve invited our good pals and Mixcloud regulars, Space Invader Radio, to join us on the wheels of steel.
Head down to the Big Chill House in London on Friday 25th March, from 8pm and let the Mixcloud & Space Invader Radio DJs take you on a journey through hip-hop, funk, soul, boogie, house, dubstep and beyond.
