BBC Radio 1 Xtra Break DJ World Record!

As we blogged last week, BBC Radio 1 Xtra made a live on-air attempt to break the current DJ Relay world record…and they completely smashed it!

They needed to get 60 DJ’s to mix 60 tracks to break the record which needed to all beat-match to qualify.

Over 100 DJ’s turned up to take part in the world record attempt. Overcoming a few drams on the day; DJs being late, some no-shows, a few nerves and two false starts.
They ended up breaking the record not once – but twice, on both the back up and main event stages. The attempt ended with them achieving a World Record of 82 DJ’s mixing 82 tracks successfully.

1Xtra DJ’s past and present, DJ friends of 1Xtra and even Radio 1 and 1Xtra staff helped to secure the victory.

  1. Radio
imaging is a general term which is popular to music companies which like to
start their financial careers by launching radio stations, and private
television channels. Imaging is a type of sweeping or product promoting
campaign. Radio station is a commercial base and you will have to sell music as
a product to consumers. Music listeners will tune up your radio station for
listening to music and radio jingles.
